here's how:
super double coupons at harris teeter. they are my new favorite thing/addiction. normally ht doubles coupons up to .99 but this week, during "super doubles" they double coupons up to 1.98. Thus, if you have a coupon for 1.98 off of something, you actually have a coupon for 3.96 off of something. i know.
let me share what i walked away from harris teeter with on wednesday:
soft scrub cleaner (free)
soft scrub extra strength cleaner (.99)
2 cans planters mixed nuts (2.50 ea)
quaker oats (.45)
smart start cereal (.09)
2 glade plug-ins (both free)
diced tomatoes 28oz (.99)
suave lotion (1.14)
2 suave deodorants (both free)
italian sausage (2.95)
4 bunches of asparagus (2.50 total)
3 bell peppers (1.25 total)
bag of spinach (1.99)
16oz mushrooms (1.49)
whole grain bread (1.85)
borden cheese singles (.19)
6 dannon yogurts (.33 each)
2 johnsonville summer sausage (1.27 each)

later on in the week i also got these items completely FREE: aquafresh toothpaste, 2 wholy guacamoles, 16oz sour cream and 2 bottles hot sauce. and 3 lbs of ground chicken for 50 cents.

wow, this is amazing. i just spent 15 minutes reading about how to never use money at CVS again... i have got to try this. allergy meds are so expensive, so if i can figure out a way to get that for free, that alone will save me a fortune.

i get the sunday paper. if you don't already get it, there's a promotion going right now where you call the observer and say you want the fri-sun paper for $1.88 a week, and you get that deal for 6 months. which is a great deal, b/c if you buy the sun. paper at the store, it's $2. but there are a ton of printable coupons, so you don't necessarily NEED the paper. but it does help for sure.
since it's your new favorite thing, how about i give you money & you be my personal shopper? :)

denise, i love coupons. i sign up on restaurants websites to get emails with free meal coupons. i just haven't gotten into grocery coupons. you inspired me - so yesterday i went and got the sunday paper and collected coupons, then went to CVS to get a prescription filled and walked out with two free boxes of cereal! i'm obssessed now.
stacy- you are hilarious. it didn't take much to get you obsessed, but i'm glad i've reeled you in :-). ps. if you want free softsoap body wash, you can get it at cvs this week. go to her website to print the coupon.
